We moved to the Larimore Dam Campground in Grand Forks, ND. It is a nice, quiet campground with spacious grass sites. They have a very nice garden/arboretum area which have nice trails for walking. Grand Forks is somewhat close (~30min). Fargo is about 1.5 hours south. We enjoyed our stay here.

We visited Cooperstown to see the Ronald Reagan Minuteman Missle Site. It’s more Ed’s thing, but it was interesting. I enjoyed the artwork on the walls painted by the men who worked here.

Ed ordered me this adorable picnic table squirrel feeder. I have been eyeing it for a while. I suppose the umbrella won’t last too long, but I do love it!

The trails by the campground are so nice. I really enjoyed walking them each day. This willow tree is amazing! They have a ‘willow grove’ area that is so peaceful and beautiful. I even managed to get Ed to walk with me a time or two.

On Saturday, the Recreational Area had fireworks and we just sat outside the camper and watched them through the trees. It was so nice to enjoy fireworks and when it was over, to just get up and walk into our home! No traffic or crowds to contend with. Happy Fourth!

A bit further down from the campground is the lake access. Ed loves to walk on the most rickety docks and see if he can spy any fish. I had no desire to step foot on that thing! LOL!

While we were at this stop, we had a tech come out and do maintenance on the wheel bearings and axles (I dunno, important stuff, but not my area of expertise). I read about it on our RV website groups and had Ed schedule it!

This isn’t the greatest photo, but as I was driving, I spotted this pheasant on a haybale! I was so excited, as I don’t think I have ever seen a pheasant in the wild before. Ed is not very quick on the draw with his phone camera, unfortunately and when I turned back to try to get a better photo, the pheasant had skee-dattled! So this is the best we have.

We drove down to Fargo for a day. There is a Dambo Troll portal there, so I really wanted to see it. I also did some letterboxing and visited a free little art gallery while we were there.

Ed discovered there was a fair in town, so we decided to hang out until it opened. It was a pretty small event, but we did enjoy it. Apparently neither of us can figure out a graceful way to get up on these popular large adirondack chairs…LOL!

We did eventually get decent photos! ha ha

We enjoyed our time in the area. It was a good place to relax and do a bit of exploring. We head to Bismark next!
